Heart Evangelista turned emotional in a recent episode of Heart World as she recalled a painful chapter in her life, where she felt deeply betrayed by people she once trusted.
A Painful Reflection
The Global Fashion Icon shared that she feels a lingering pity for her past self, who was blindsided by betrayal.
“She had no idea what was coming for her,” Heart said, her voice heavy with emotion.
She described the experience as profoundly hurtful:
“I felt like I was sleeping with my most loyal soldiers, but I woke up as a ghost. They killed me in my sleep.”
Heart admitted that what made the betrayal more painful was the deep love and trust she had given these individuals, believing they reciprocated her feelings.
Moving On and Forgiving
Although she has moved past the experience, Heart revealed that forgiving herself remains a work in progress.
“Even now, I struggle to forgive myself because, in the end, I was the one who chose them,” she said.
Despite the ordeal, she credits the experience for strengthening her relationship with her husband, Senator Chiz Escudero.
“And because of what I went through, nothing, nothing will break Chiz and I,” Heart declared.
