
A third bomb threat in just one week has targeted an Iloilo City school, raising concern among students, parents, and authorities. The latest threat was reported at Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT‑U), adding to a string of scares across the city.
Police quickly deployed their Explosives and Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and canine units to inspect the campus. No explosive devices were found after thorough checks.
Authorities are taking the series of threats seriously and have reminded the public that making or spreading false bomb threats is a criminal offense.
Mayor Raisa Treñas has ordered tighter coordination among law enforcement agencies to identify those responsible. The city is also offering a ₱100,000 reward for information leading to the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, the Iloilo City Police urged residents to remain calm, stay vigilant, and report anything suspicious, emphasizing that safety remains their top priority.
