Senator Imee Marcos made a striking appearance at the Batasang Pambansa for this year’s State of the Nation Address (SONA), arriving with her sons Borgy and Michael Manotoc, and her daughter-in-law Carina Manglapus. The elder sister of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. graced the red carpet in a Moro armor-inspired dress, complemented by a golden crown.
President Marcos is set to deliver his third SONA at the Batasang Pambansa on Monday at 4 p.m., with politicians and their guests from across the Philippines in attendance.
Key issues to be addressed include the escalating conflict in the West Philippine Sea with China, which has led to diplomatic protests from Manila and ongoing bilateral discussions to manage the disputes.
