The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has reported a low pressure area (LPA) located east southeast of Mindanao, which is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Saturday. This LPA, last observed at a significant distance from Southeastern Mindanao, has the potential to develop into a cyclone and may bring rain starting Sunday.

Currently, the weather across the Philippines is influenced by the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan, affecting parts of Luzon, and the Easterlies affecting other areas. Luzon is expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, while Visayas and Mindanao can anticipate similar conditions but with the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. The forecast also includes moderate to strong winds and corresponding sea conditions for northern Luzon, eastern sections of central and southern Luzon, and eastern Visayas, while lighter winds and milder coastal waters are expected for the rest of the country​​.
