The bicycle was initially stolen while unattended on the roadside, with the owner’s misplaced confidence in the area’s CCTV coverage. Upon discovering the online listing priced at P8,000, the owner and his son collaborated with law enforcement to set up a meeting with the seller, confirming the bike’s identity and culminating in the thief’s arrest during the transaction.
