At least 23 people were injured in Israel early Sunday following a series of Iranian missile strikes that hit multiple locations, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Ness Ziona, Israeli authorities confirmed.

In Tel Aviv, several apartment buildings in the Ramat Aviv district were severely damaged. Mayor Ron Huldai noted one of the worst-hit buildings was fortunately unoccupied due to pending demolition. “The damage is extensive, but lives were spared thanks to people sheltering in time,” he said.

Emergency services and police also responded to impact sites in Haifa, where a public square was left in rubble, and in Ness Ziona, south of Tel Aviv. Photos from the scene showed homes and businesses heavily affected by the blasts.

Eli Bin, chief of the Magen David Adom rescue service, reported that two of the 23 injured are in moderate condition, while the rest suffered minor wounds.

According to the Israeli military, two waves of missile attacks began around 7:30 a.m. local time. Sirens sounded across the country as Israel’s air defense systems intercepted many of the incoming projectiles, although fragments still caused damage.

Military officials confirmed over 50 direct hits nationwide since the start of the conflict with Iran on June 13. The Israeli Defense Forces have reportedly intercepted over 450 missiles and approximately 1,000 drones to date.

Tel Aviv, Beersheba, and Haifa have been the primary targets of these ongoing assaults.
