Israeli forces exited a northern Gaza hospital on Saturday, a day after entering the facility, and detained dozens of medical staff and some patients, according to Gaza’s health ministry. The incident occurred at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia, one of the few remaining operational hospitals in the area. Health officials reported that Israeli forces had detained 44 out of 70 hospital staff, later releasing 14, including the hospital director. Medics reported that two children in intensive care passed away after Israeli shelling damaged the hospital’s generators

In a separate development, WAFA, a Palestinian news agency, reported that at least 30 civilians died in Israeli airstrikes targeting houses in Beit Lahiya, though this number was unconfirmed by Gaza’s health ministry. The Israeli military stated the airstrikes aimed at targeting Hamas militants.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) expressed grave concern, calling conditions in northern Gaza “extremely dire,” particularly as residents face evacuation orders with limited access to essential supplies. Israel’s military advised civilians to move to the expanded humanitarian area of Al-Mawasi in southern Gaza.
