K-pop group ITZY expressed their love and gratitude to their Filipino MIDZYs for the overwhelming support during their “Born To Be” concert on Saturday.
On Instagram, the group shared photos from their concert, featuring them holding fan banners and posing for a group photo backstage. They also took a picture on stage with their fans in the background.
“Salamat sa pagpunta ngayong gabi. Mahal namin kayo Manila MIDZY,” they wrote in the caption.
Fans flooded the comment section with their appreciation. “Thank you for this wonderful night ITZY, see you again next time!” one fan wrote. Another user commented, “You slayed, queens! What an amazing show! Thank you very much.”
Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna performed over thirty songs from their discography at the Mall of Asia Arena. Besides their solo and group performances, the girls joined BINI’s “Pantropiko” dance challenge.
Before the concert, ITZY met with the press and selected fans at a media conference on Friday at the Glorietta Activity Center. Only four members were present as Lia has been on hiatus since September 2023 due to health issues. She is set to return in ITZY’s upcoming album, scheduled for release in the second half of the year.
“Born To Be” in Manila marked ITZY’s fourth visit to the Philippines. They previously visited in January 2023 for a concert as part of their Checkmate world tour, returned in April for a fan meeting, and were among the awardees and performers at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards held at the Philippine Arena.
