Highly regarded guard Jordan Heading is set to make his PBA debut with the Converge FiberXers following a trade deal with the Terrafirma Dyip on Tuesday. As part of the exchange, Terrafirma will receive Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar, and Converge’s first-round pick for Season 51.
Heading, the top pick in the 2020 PBA Special Rookie Draft, initially bypassed playing in the PBA, opting instead for international leagues. He showcased his sharpshooting skills with the Taichung Wagor Suns in Taiwan’s T1 league and later with Nagasaki Velca in Japan’s B. League. Most recently, Heading represented the Philippines with Strong Group Athletics at the 2024 William Jones Cup, where he helped secure a championship win against Chinese Taipei.
In Converge, Heading reunites with assistant coach Charles Tiu, who guided the Strong Group team to their Jones Cup victory.
