Rising gymnastics star Karl Eldrew Yulo plans to devote himself entirely to the sport once he graduates from senior high school at Adamson University.

Although he’s still eligible for junior competitions, Eldrew confirmed he will move up to senior-level gymnastics after finishing school. He also mentioned that he wants to learn Japanese to better communicate with his coaches and fully focus on building his gymnastics career.

His brother, Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, has expressed pride in Eldrew’s performance, calling him the “next generation” of Philippine gymnastics.

Eldrew is already making an impact internationally, having qualified for four finals — individual all-around, floor exercise, vault, and horizontal bar — in the Junior World Championships.
