Karla Estrada opened up about the overwhelming negativity her son, Daniel Padilla, faced following his breakup with Kathryn Bernardo.
Speaking on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Wednesday, Karla admitted that the harsh words directed at Daniel deeply affected her.
“Their breakup was between them. Only they truly know the reasons and how to resolve it,” she said. “But the words people used—so offensive, so degrading—I could barely take it. It felt like it was killing me. I even wanted to confront those who spoke that way.”
Despite her emotional turmoil, Karla ultimately chose to step back and let Daniel and Kathryn handle the situation on their own.
“The best thing we did was to leave it up to them,” she added.
Kathryn and Daniel, who were together for 11 years, confirmed their split in late 2024.
