Despite his growing success, Seth Fedelin has no plans to end his on-screen partnership with Francine Diaz anytime soon.
Fedelin, who was nominated for Best Actor at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for his performance in My Future You, walked away with the Breakthrough Performance award instead. Inspired by his career momentum, he expressed a desire to continue collaborating with Diaz, saying, “I still want to be with Francine. I can’t say for how long, but I want her by my side.”
During a press conference for “Star Magic Spotlight,” Fedelin shared his dream of standing on stage with Diaz, receiving recognition for their work. “I want our film to be the reason we are recognized,” he said.
A Shared Commitment
Fedelin revealed that before My Future You, they missed out on other projects, but they remained determined to make the MMFF entry their breakthrough. “We didn’t lose hope. While filming, we told ourselves that this was where people would finally notice us. We poured our hearts into the movie,” he shared.
Although the two are deeply committed to their love team, they remain open to taking on solo projects. “At the end of the day, Francine entered showbiz as Francine, and I entered as Seth,” Fedelin said. He also expressed gratitude for Diaz’s unwavering support, saying, “Francine boosts me to a hundred percent. Now that My Future You is done, we continue to support each other.”
Exploring New Roles
Fedelin is eager to expand his acting repertoire, particularly in drama and action. He expressed interest in playing a “bad boy” with depth, saying, “I usually portray good boy roles. It’s a challenge to be both rough and kindhearted. I want to see what I’d look like if I added a bit of edge to my character.”
Off-screen, Fedelin admitted he’s naturally shy but adopts a confident persona to overcome self-doubt. “When I lose confidence, I act like I’m proud and walk out the door as if I’m my only ally,” he explained.
Upcoming Projects
Fedelin and Diaz will reunite in the upcoming drama Nobody, starring Gerald Anderson, Jessy Mendiola, JC de Vera, and RK Bagatsing.
