Kaye Abad, in a heartfelt conversation on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” revealed that John Lloyd Cruz was the most challenging ex to move on from, especially because they continued to work closely on the show “Tabing-Ilog” after their breakup. Despite their split, they were paired as a love team in the series, which complicated their personal closure.

Abad recounted the emotional difficulty of having to portray an on-screen couple with Cruz while they were navigating their post-breakup realities. This situation was further strained when Cruz began dating someone new, leading to a natural distancing between him and Abad due to his new relationship.

She candidly shared, “It was tough because his new girlfriend was naturally jealous of our on-screen intimacy, which included kissing scenes, making the situation more challenging for me.”

Despite these challenges, Abad has found peace in her other relationships, notably with her ex-boyfriend, singer Chito Miranda. She describes their breakup as amicable, highlighting that they have remained good friends over the years. Miranda and Abad have even extended invitations to each other’s weddings, underscoring their sustained friendship post-breakup.

Abad also touched on her past interactions with other celebrities, mentioning her youthful crush on Patrick Garcia and a friendly relationship with Piolo Contis, who had shown romantic interest at one point.
