Rica Peralejo recently shared insights into her past relationship with actor Piolo Pascual during an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.” She revealed that although they never officially labeled their relationship, they shared a deep connection and “functioned like a couple.”
Peralejo described their bond as one filled with mutual affection and possibility, noting that while they entertained thoughts of a future together, nothing concrete ever materialized. “We entertained the idea of settling down, but it never got to that point. There were no promises made, and we never officially defined what we were, but what we had was really good,” she explained.
She also highlighted the casual, almost ambiguous nature of their relationship, mentioning that there were always “hints” of something more significant, but neither of them pushed to define it strictly. This approach allowed them to maintain a relationship that was very much like a close friendship with romantic elements, without the pressure of formal commitments.
Despite the lack of labels, Peralejo emphasized the genuine love and affection that existed between them, stating, “It was obvious that we loved each other. We were more like friends who liked to spend a lot of time together.”
Today, Peralejo is happily married to her husband, Joseph Bonifacio, and they have two children. She remains on good terms with Pascual, reflecting on their past with fondness and maturity, indicating that they have both moved on positively from their time together.
