Actress Kiray Celis and her boyfriend Stephan Estopia recently participated in the 2024 Traslacion, a significant religious event in the Philippines. Kiray shared a photo on Instagram of the couple wearing hooded shirts featuring the Black Nazarene’s image, with “Estopia” printed on the back. Her Instagram Stories also showed them attending a mass at the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, known as Quiapo Church.
In her post, Kiray expressed her admiration for Stephan, emphasizing the importance of finding someone who shares the same dreams, prayers, and support. She wrote, “’Find someone who is willing to learn, hustle, pray and grow with you.’ At nahanap ko na nga!” and added, “Kapag parehas talaga kayong nangangarap, sabay na nagdadasal at parehas na nagtutulungan.. walang imposible! Viva, Poong Jesus Nazareno!”
The 2024 Traslacion marked the first grand procession of the Black Nazarene’s image since 2020. The procession began at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila at 4:45 a.m. During the event, around 1,008,000 people were observed along the route from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Despite the large crowd, there were 38 recorded injuries, as reported by the Manila Police District.
