Kris Aquino has announced her return to the Philippines after two years in the United States undergoing medical treatment. In an Instagram post from Los Angeles International Airport, she shared that she will soon begin a second round of immunosuppressant infusions, explaining that these treatments are critical for her health.
Aquino revealed that she is battling six confirmed autoimmune conditions, including autoimmune thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, Churg-Strauss syndrome, systemic sclerosis, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis, with results pending for two additional conditions. She expressed her need for the emotional support of her family, friends, and doctors in the Philippines.
Kris thanked her supporters for their prayers and confirmed that her son Bimby and her nurses are accompanying her, while her eldest son, Josh, will remain in the US for a few more weeks. She also mentioned that her new boyfriend, a doctor based in Makati City, will be helping with her care.
