Actress and content creator Kristel Fulgar is officially in a relationship with her South Korean suitor, Suhyuk Ha. The milestone comes after Suhyuk completed his nearly year-long conversion to Kristel’s religion, Iglesia ni Cristo.
In her YouTube video titled “Finally, My First Boyfriend,” Kristel documented Suhyuk’s baptism and reflected on the emotions she felt.
“Words can’t fully capture the happiness I’m feeling in this moment. I’ve never known a love like this before—it fills me with peace. For the first time, I truly feel whole, as though I’ve finally found the missing piece of my heart,” she shared.
A Love Rooted in Patience and Understanding
Kristel revealed that Suhyuk’s conversion process spanned 11 months, a journey requiring patience and mutual respect. Suhyuk, expressing his gratitude, asked Kristel if she was ready to make their relationship official.
“If you’re ready to be an official couple, if you are OK with it, just touch my back once,” he said. “If you don’t want, touch it twice.”
Recalling the moment, Kristel shared how it brought back memories of her earlier hesitation to pursue a relationship due to their differing beliefs.
Before answering, Kristel gifted Suhyuk a black wallet, a symbolic gesture for his baptism. She then made it official by touching his back once.
A New Chapter of Love
“Thank you, my baby. I love you!” Suhyuk exclaimed, visibly overjoyed when Kristel responded with an “I love you” in return.
Their journey together has been documented in videos, including Suhyuk’s first visit to the Philippines earlier this year and their time spent together in South Korea.
Kristel, who is fluent in Korean, also received the Influencer of the Month award at the 2023 Global Influencers Award in South Korea, highlighting her growing presence as a digital creator.
