At their launch as ambassadors for Zalora Philippines on Wednesday, the couple shared their insights with GMA News Online on recognizing the “real deal” in relationships and shopping.
For Kyline, the star of Shining Inheritance, hesitation is a sign that something isn’t right—whether it’s a romantic connection or a purchase. “You need to make sure that the person or the item you’re considering is 100% authentic and genuine,” she explained.
Kobe echoed this sentiment, offering a metaphor for both love and shopping. “If you leave it in your cart for a week, it’s probably not for you. If you really want it, you’ll buy it right away,” he said. On love, he added, “Ang love, hindi nabibili.” (Love can’t be bought.)
The couple’s appearance at the Zalora event was also a celebration of their shared fashion sense. Held at the Manila House in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Kobe made the event extra special by gifting Kyline a Swarovski necklace as an early Christmas present.
Kyline and Kobe’s relationship gained public attention in May when they shared photos from the same restaurant. They were later spotted holding hands in Taguig. Though Kobe initially described them as “great friends” at the GMA Gala in July, their connection deepened as they starred together in the online miniseries Miss Legends in September.
