Leon Barretto shared a touching tribute to his sister Claudia after she tied the knot with her longtime love, Basti Lorenzo.
Taking to Instagram, Leon posted a series of cherished family photos from the wedding and expressed disbelief that his “Claui” is now married.
From childhood squabbles to becoming each other’s closest confidants, Leon reflected on how their bond had strengthened over the years. “I’m truly grateful for how close we’ve become—knowing everything about each other with no judgment, only love and comfort,” he wrote.
Leon thanked Claudia for the many lessons she taught him—how to be respectful, how to treat others well, and how to carry himself with grace. “You’ve guided me toward the right path,” he said, acknowledging her unmatched love for family and friends.
His wish for Claudia? “To be loved the way you love—deeply and genuinely.”
Leon also expressed admiration for Claudia and Basti’s enduring love, noting how he’s seen their relationship grow and weather challenges over the past decade. “Some may not see it, but I do—you’ve brought out the best in each other.”
Closing his letter, Leon reassured Claudia of his unwavering support. “Even if someone else is now by your side, I’ll always be here. I’m, and always will be, your biggest supporter and protector.”
He ended with a prayer for their marriage: “Continue to protect your peace and joy—don’t let anyone or anything take that away.”
Claudia responded in the comments, simply saying, “I’m incredibly lucky to have you.”
Leon’s letter came shortly after their father, Dennis Padilla, publicly voiced his feelings about being left out of the wedding, calling it a “permanent goodbye” in an interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel.
Leon, Claudia, and their sister Julia are children of actress Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla. Their complex family history has occasionally surfaced publicly, such as in 2022 when Leon penned a letter addressing his father’s remarks about being forgotten on Father’s Day.
Claudia and Basti’s wedding took place at St. James the Great Parish in Muntinlupa City, followed by a romantic reception at Lakehall at Nena’s Sanctuary in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Their eldest sister, Dani, also shared a heartfelt note, telling Claudia, “Don’t let anything or anyone dim the light of this moment.”
