“Pinoy Big Brother” alum Lie Reposposa recently took to social media to share the emotional and financial burdens she faces as her family’s breadwinner. In a heartfelt Facebook post, Reposposa expressed her frustration and pain over being labeled the “bad guy” when she couldn’t meet her family’s demands.

“I just want to express how hurt I am. I don’t know if what I’m doing is right or wrong but it’s too much for me as the breadwinner of my family. I’m doing this alone, but I’m taking care of a family of seven,” she wrote. Reposposa revealed that despite her efforts to help her family, she often feels unappreciated and criticized, especially by her mother.

“What hurts me is I helped them as much as I could, but when I couldn’t give them what they wanted, I was the bad guy. It’s my fault that my own mother would gossip about this to her friend, so of course, I’m hurt,” Reposposa shared.

The former PBB housemate also detailed her financial contributions, including buying her family a farm, paying utility bills, and covering additional expenses. Despite these efforts, she feels let down by her family’s lack of honesty and accountability, as they misused the money she provided for their bills.

“I bought them a farm this year because they have been requesting it. I’ve paid the electric and water bills but they lied to me. The P12,000 budget I gave them for the bills wasn’t even spent there, so the bills doubled. But who paid them? I did,” she explained.

Reposposa hopes her family will understand her perspective and stop gossiping about their private issues. “To my family, I’m hurt, but I know we’ll solve this. I just want to share my side because rumormongers only know your side. I don’t want things to escalate but I hope you understand me. You don’t listen to me. You only want me to tend to your problems but I have problems too. I just keep them to myself,” she concluded.

Reposposa, who finished in sixth place on “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso” in November 2018, has been a prominent figure since her time on the reality show. Her candid revelations shed light on the often unspoken pressures faced by those who financially support their families, especially in the public eye.
