A low‑pressure area (LPA) located east of Mindanao has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is showing signs of potential development into a tropical depression. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), if the system intensifies into a tropical depression it will be named “Verbena.”
Forecasters say the system has a medium to high chance of development, and it may impact weather conditions in parts of Mindanao and adjacent waters in the coming days.
Communities in potentially affected areas are advised to monitor updates, especially for heavy rainfall, increased winds, or rough seas.
