Over half of Filipinos are satisfied with the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., giving it a “good” net satisfaction rating of +40 in June 2024, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey. This marks an improvement from the “moderate” +29 rating in March, though it is a decline from the “excellent” +52 recorded in December 2023.
Conducted from June 23 to July 1, the survey revealed that 62% of Filipinos were satisfied, 15% were neutral, and 22% expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s performance.
Based on SWS’ Governance Report Card, which evaluated 15 performance areas, the administration received the following ratings:
- “Very good” in helping disaster victims (+64), improving children’s education (+62), and assisting the poor (+51)
- “Good” in housing programs for the poor (+47), advancing science and technology (+46), creating job policies (+45), enhancing public transportation (+38), and ensuring food security (+35)
- “Moderate” in addressing climate change (+29), defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea (+22), and preventing hunger (+18)
- “Neutral” in combating crime (-2) and regulating oil prices (-3)
- “Poor” in eradicating graft and corruption (-10) and tackling inflation (-16)
The net satisfaction rating improved across all regions, with Metro Manila scoring the highest at +52, followed by Balance Luzon at +48, the Visayas at +32, and Mindanao at +25.
The survey involved face-to-face interviews with 1,500 adults nationwide and had a margin of error of ±2.5% for national results.
