Marina Summers expressed her gratitude after a heartwarming encounter with Vice Ganda during Sunday night’s thanksgiving pride event in Quezon City.

On X (formerly Twitter), the “Drag Race: UK vs. The World” alum shared a photo with the “It’s Showtime” host and recounted their touching exchange.

“Hearing Meme Vice say, ‘I’m so proud of you. You’re the best. The best,’ before I performed last night, is probably one of the best things that has happened to me as an artist,” Marina wrote.

According to Marina, Vice’s compliment brought her as much joy as when RuPaul told her she was “born to do drag.” Marina emphasized that Vice has always been a queer icon and inspiration for her and many other queer individuals.

“I love you and thank you for being YOU!” Marina added. “I will continue to make you and our community proud!”

She also shared a humorous moment with Vice: “Sabi niya, tsaka na raw ako mag-retire ‘pag mayaman na mayaman na ako and ‘pag masakit na ‘yung tuhod ko.”

In March, Marina finished in the Top 4 of the second season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. The World,” where she was the lone Asian contestant and showcased Filipino culture throughout the competition. She was a frontrunner, winning three Ru Badges in the first six episodes, and made a memorable entrance with a stunning Filipiniana look and a hilarious Durabox luggage.
