A trending video caught the attention of authorities highlighting pupils and their parents in what seemed like a moving up ceremony at a small village in Camarines Norte’s capital town of Daet. Department of Education cross-examined this event for possible breach of the new coronavirus disease protocols.
An anonymous source confirmed that this video showing children being instructed to share a single face mask for their “graduation” photo happened at a makeshift graduation shed in Dogongan village.
Nympha Guemo, schools superintendent, had already exchanged conversation to the school’s principal and requested for an incident report. The report was expected to be submitted on Monday, June 22, 2020.
“The ceremony was held way before. This was just a pictorial. A parent or a guardian may have asked this to be held in a certain zone in Dogongan ’cause technically, it didn’t happen on school grounds.” The source explained.
Date of the video that was taken is still being probed. The video circulated rapidly in social media sites but eventually got deleted by the person who originally posted it.
