MAYNILA – Sinabi ng Manila Electric Company (Meralco) nitong Biyernes, Pebrero 10, na magbabawas ng rate ng kuryente ngayong Pebrero.

Sa abiso ng Meralco, P0.0106 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) ang ibababa nito kumpara noong Enero.

“This February 2023, overall electricity rate for typical households is at P10.89/kWh, a decrease of Php 0.01/kWh, as lower generation charge offset the impact of the completed distribution-related refund,” anang Meralco sa inilabas na abiso nito.

“One remaining refund, expected to be completed by May 2023, continue to temper monthly bills,” dagdag pa nito.

Halimbawa ng mga rate ng pagkalkula:

  • 200kwh consumption – lower by P2
  • 300kwh consumption – lower by P3
  • 400kwh consumption – lower by P4
  • 500kwh consumption – lower by P5

Naghahanap na rin ng mapagkukunan ng suplay ang Meralco maliban sa Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) para mapunan ng mas murang halaga ng kuryente mula sa nasuspinde nitong power deal sa South Premiere Power Corp.
