Zozibini Tunzi, Miss Universe 2019, has officially tied the knot!

The South African beauty queen shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting dreamy snapshots from her wedding to longtime partner Luthando Bolowana. Her caption was short but heartfelt: “I love you endlessly..Husband.”

The couple’s relationship had always been low-key, making their wedding announcement a sweet surprise to fans. According to Zozibini, the couple exchanged vows on March 22 at the scenic Belair Pavilion in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa.

Zozibini stunned in a custom off-shoulder bridal gown adorned with intricate floral details, crafted by Vietnamese designer Phan Huy. The gown was a masterpiece that took three months and over 700 hours to complete. It featured handcrafted 3D floral branches, organza flowers, and over 14 types of beads and stones—all made by a team of dedicated artisans.

Despite the distance, Zozibini worked with the designer remotely, sending her measurements from abroad. Impressively, the gown fit her perfectly on the first try.

Zozibini made history in 2019 as Miss Universe, following Catriona Gray of the Philippines. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she also holds the record as the longest-reigning Miss Universe, later crowning Mexico’s Andrea Meza in 2021. Filipino pageant fans will also remember her special appearance as guest host at Miss Universe Philippines 2023, won by Michelle Dee.
