The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has filed complaints for falsification and violations of the Anti-Dummy Law against dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo and four of her family members before the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday.
NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin told reporters that the charges were filed against Guo, her parents Jiang Zhong Guo and Lin Wenyi, and her siblings Shiela and Siemen Guo.
The complaints stem from the purchase of four parcels of land for their 3Lin-Q Farm located in Mangatarem, Pangasinan.
“They misrepresented themselves as Filipino citizens when the NBI was able to sufficiently establish that they are Chinese citizens,” Lavin explained.
The Guo family also faces seven counts of falsification for allegedly providing false information in their Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) incorporation documents, including:
- Articles of Incorporation
- Secretary’s Certificate
- General Information Sheet
The NBI further obtained certifications from a barangay in Bulacan, confirming that the Guo family never resided in the area.
Lavin said the NBI is also considering initiating forfeiture cases against the disputed properties.
