Neophyte lawmakers Brian Poe and Ryan Recto are getting a strong start in their legislative journey by joining the Executive Course on Legislation hosted by the University of the Philippines National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG).
Held from July 7 to 9, 2025, the program is tailored for newly elected members of the 20th Congress, focusing on enhancing their understanding of lawmaking processes, governance, and public service. The intensive three-day course includes expert-led discussions, workshops, and peer collaboration aimed at building practical legislative skills.
Brian Poe, representing the FPJ Panday Bayanihan party-list, shared his enthusiasm about joining the course, highlighting the importance of continuous learning in shaping effective public policies.
He was joined by Congressman Ryan Recto of Batangas City’s 6th District, also a first-time legislator. Both lawmakers actively engaged with policy experts, gaining insights they plan to apply in crafting laws that address national concerns.
As Congress moves into session, this training is expected to help these new representatives make impactful, informed decisions for their constituents.
