Entertainment personality Ogie Diaz proudly marked a milestone in his daughter Godhie’s journey to becoming a doctor, as he attended her White Coat and Pinning Ceremony for Medical Technology at the University of Santo Tomas.
Diaz shared the touching moment on Facebook, reflecting on how his daughter had shown brilliance since childhood. “Even at three years old, she had an amazing memory. I thought she’d become a lawyer or a doctor,” he recalled.
Now 21, Godhie is pursuing her dream of becoming an ob-gynecologist. Diaz noted that the decision was entirely hers. “We didn’t push her—this is her dream,” he said.
The proud father turned emotional as he watched Godhie lead the oath of loyalty to her faculty and profession. She was also recognized as the president of the MT Interns’ organization.
Diaz also expressed joy in seeing his daughter supported by her boyfriend, who is also in the medical field and attended the event with them.
“My only reminder to her is not to pressure herself too much. She wants to be a doctor, not a patient,” Diaz quipped.
Ogie and his wife, Georgette del Rosario, have five children in total.
