The horror franchise Orphan is officially expanding with a third installment in development. Dark Castle Entertainment has confirmed that Orphan 3 is in the works, with William Brent Bell, the director of Orphan: First Kill, set to return.

According to Variety, Isabelle Fuhrman will reprise her role as Esther, the chilling character at the center of the franchise. Norman Golightly, Co-CEO of Dark Castle Entertainment, shared his excitement, stating, “With the success of the first two movies and another thrilling storyline, we are confident that Orphan 3 will be a must-see movie for both loyal and new fans.”

The original Orphan (2009) introduced audiences to Esther, a seemingly innocent nine-year-old girl with a disturbing past, adopted by a grieving couple. Orphan: First Kill, the prequel released in 2022, delved deeper into her backstory.

With another intense chapter on the horizon, Orphan 3 promises to bring fresh horrors to fans of the series.
