Pandi, Bulacan Mayor Enrico Roque, along with two others, was arrested on Tuesday following charges of two counts of rape, according to the Northern Police District (NPD).
The NPD revealed on Wednesday that a municipal councilor and another male government employee were also taken into custody. The suspects are currently detained at the NPD Custodial Facility.
Authorities apprehended the three at a waterpark in Pandi, Bulacan, around 1 p.m. on December 17. This followed the issuance of a warrant of arrest by a regional trial court in Caloocan City.
No bail was recommended for the accused, who now face legal proceedings.
GMA News Online has sought comments from the Office of the Mayor in Pandi, but no response has been received as of this report.
