Siargao, PhilippinesPernilla Sjoö, the Swedish photographer allegedly involved in the recent online tension between Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo, has broken her silence.

In screenshots of her statement circulating online from her now-private Instagram account, Sjoö expressed confusion over the hate she has received.

“I just don’t understand why some people have so much hate in their minds and bodies,” she wrote. “I hope that if you ever make a hurtful comment, you can still sleep peacefully at night knowing you’ve caused someone pain.”

Sjoö urged people to be more understanding, reminding them that everyone is going through something.

“Never judge someone without knowing the whole story. You may think you understand, but you don’t,” she added.

The controversy erupted after Andi and Philmar unfollowed each other on Instagram, with Andi sharing cryptic posts hinting at a third-party issue. Netizens speculated that Sjoö was the woman involved after photos surfaced of her and Philmar sporting matching tattoos.

While Andi later clarified that Philmar never cheated on her, Philmar’s own response—“For whatever you all read is true, then so be it”—only fueled further discussion.

Engaged since 2020, Andi and Philmar, along with their children, are known as the Happy Islanders, living in Siargao.
