Manila, Philippines – Winwyn Marquez couldn’t be prouder of Dia Mate for securing the Philippines’ second Reina Hispanoamericana crown.
On Instagram Stories, the Kapuso beauty queen expressed her excitement over Dia’s victory.
“I knew it. Unang usap pa lang namin, alam ko mananalo siya,” Winwyn wrote.
She added, “I am so happy! Congratulations, Reina [Dia Mate]!”
The Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 pageant took place in Bolivia on Monday (Philippine time), where Dia Mate stunned in a sultry gold gown designed by Rian Fernandez. She also won Best in National Costume, wearing an Ehrran Montoya creation inspired by baroque churches in the Philippines.
Winwyn, who won the country’s first Reina Hispanoamericana title in 2017, previously advised Dia to “have fun” and not feel intimidated by Latina candidates.
“She should just know who she is, and eventually, she’ll shine on stage,” Winwyn shared before the competition.
