In a massive anti-drug operation, the Philippine Navy confiscated an estimated ₱10 billion worth of suspected shabu from a fishing vessel off the coast of Zambales early Friday morning.

According to a Super Radyo dzBB report by Mark Makalalad, a foreign national was found onboard the intercepted vessel.

The operation, conducted around 1:30 a.m. in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), led to the seizure of approximately 1.5 tons of methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu.

In a statement, the Philippine Navy said this marks one of the biggest drug hauls in its history, underscoring the military’s strong role in the national campaign against illegal drugs.

The seized contraband is being transported to the Naval Operating Base in Subic, Zambales for documentation and formal turnover to proper authorities.
