The Philippine Volcanoes, the national rugby team, clinched double gold in both the men’s and women’s categories at the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Trophy in Nepal.
In a thrilling final on Saturday, the men’s team triumphed over Chinese Taipei with a score of 27-14. Meanwhile, the women’s team narrowly defeated India, winning 7-5. This victory marks a significant milestone for Philippine Rugby as both teams earned a promotion to Division 1 of the tournament.
