The Philippine National Police (PNP) has identified some members of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s alleged private army, known as the “angels of death,” according to PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo. These individuals are reportedly tasked with threatening and harming those who attempt to expose the activities inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound.
PNP Regional Office 11 chief Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III provided the names of the suspected members. Fajardo confirmed that these individuals are believed to take direct orders from Quiboloy to intimidate victims, including minors, who were reportedly threatened with violence if they disclosed any details of sexual abuse within the KOJC.
The PNP is now investigating whether the alleged “angels of death” include Army reservists and militiamen serving as Quiboloy’s bodyguards. Authorities are also working on revoking the gun licenses of these individuals.
In a related development, Quiboloy remains in detention at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame. The court is expected to rule on his appeal for hospital arrest based on a recent medical assessment. Quiboloy faces charges in both the Philippines and the US, including human trafficking and sex trafficking.
