In his most recent vlog, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. took viewers behind the scenes to demonstrate the meticulous preparations involved in hosting foreign dignitaries at the presidential residence, underscoring the essence of Filipino hospitality. Marcos showcased the newly renovated guest accommodations, which have been carefully curated to offer personalized experiences through music, cuisine, and cultural performances.

Marcos emphasized the special attention given to making guests feel valued by providing them with unique gifts of local crafts sourced from various parts of the Philippines. These items, chosen by his team, are distinct from typical commercial products and are intended to promote the craftsmanship of local Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs). “It’s really about loving local and showcasing the fine work of our MSMEs,” Marcos explained.

The effort to enhance the visitor experience at Malacañang involves collaboration among the teams from the Office of the President, the social secretary, and notably, the First Lady, Liza Marcos. This approach not only enriches the guest experience but also fortifies international relations by reinforcing the importance of each visitor to the Philippines.

When asked about the inherent kindness of Filipinos, Marcos humbly responded, “It’s just our way; this is what we have learned and what we do.” He noted that welcoming leaders from around the world is crucial in today’s interconnected global economy, emphasizing that such hospitality helps to strengthen international agreements and partnerships.
