After more than two years away from the court, Kianna Dy made her much-anticipated return as PLDT secured a hard-fought 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 25-22 victory over Cignal in the PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena.

Dy, who suffered a knee injury in July 2023, finally suited up for PLDT, entering the match late in the fourth set. At that point, the High Speed Hitters had built a commanding 16-7 lead, but Cignal mounted a fierce comeback led by Vanie Gandler, Jackie Acuña, and Roselyn Doria, trimming the gap to just one, 22-21.

Majoy Baron and Savi Davison then delivered in the clutch, with Davison sealing the win and PLDT’s 5-3 record. Cignal, on the other hand, slipped to 5-2.

Davison starred with a stellar triple-double of 24 points (22 attacks, two blocks), 12 digs, and 10 receptions. Erika Santos and Baron added 15 and 10 points, respectively.

For Cignal, Gandler led with 22 points, while Acuña and Ishie Lalongisip chipped in 14 and 12 markers.
