Actor Raymart Santiago’s legal team has responded strongly to the recent claims made by Inday Barretto, mother of actress Claudine Barretto. The legal counsel described her allegations as “untruthful and slanderous,” arguing that the narrative being presented is not based on fact.

According to the statement released by lawyers Howard Calleja and Katrin Jessica Distor‑Guinigundo, Inday Barretto chose to “resort to publicity to spread this … narrative” about Santiago and his marriage to Claudine Barretto. They further claim that Ms. Barretto and her family have repeatedly used social media and “trial by publicity” to tarnish Santiago’s reputation.

The legal team also pointed to a dispute over a conjugal property sale, saying the root of the issue may lie in a land transaction by Claudine Barretto three years ago, allegedly without Santiago’s knowledge or consent. They suggested this may explain Inday Barretto’s alleged outrage.

Additionally, the lawyers reminded Claudine Barretto, her family and agents of a gag order issued by the Family Court Branch 5 of Mandaluyong City on September 20, 2023, cautioning that any further remarks outside the law may be subject to legal action.

As of now, neither Claudine Barretto nor Inday Barretto have publicly responded to the legal statement. The exchange escalates a longstanding conflict between the parties and continues to draw attention on social media and in entertainment news circles.
