OPM icon Raymond Lauchengco is marking a major milestone: his 60th birthday. To celebrate, he’s staging a concert called Everybody Loves Raymond, releasing a new single, and publishing a book filled with stories and art.

Lauchengco fondly calls himself a “senior Bagets” — a nod to his roots in the classic 1980s teen film Bagets, which helped launch his career.

For the concert, he’s bringing out longtime friends and icons — including Sharon Cuneta, Ice Seguerra, and Mitch Valdes — to perform a setlist spanning his musical journey from choir boy days, Broadway, OPM ballads, and even a medley inspired by Barry Manilow.

His sister, theater actress Menchu Lauchengco‑Yulo, will direct the show — the first time they’re collaborating on stage. Meanwhile, his single My Favorite Story is his tribute to the people who’ve been with him through his life journey.

His book, Dance With the Wind, reflects on resilience. One story uses a bent tree that survives strong winds by swaying with them — a metaphor Lauchengco applies to his own life.

Looking back, he says Bagets wasn’t just a movie — it was about true friendship. Even decades later, he believes its themes are still relevant: navigating life, finding oneself, and building real connections.
