Rhian Ramos used to be skeptical about marriage—until someone changed her mind.

In an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, the Kapuso star opened up about how her views on lifelong commitment shifted, largely influenced by her relationship with businessman and congressman Sam Verzosa.

Rhian admitted that her parents’ separation shaped her earlier belief that nothing lasts forever. “For the longest time, I just couldn’t see marriage working,” she said. “I thought it was asking too much to expect one person to be your forever.”

But with Sam, things felt different.

“Every day, I learn something new about him. I’ve never met anyone like him. I’m never bored. He’s just so unique,” Rhian shared, her voice full of warmth. She added that she sees Sam in many lights—sometimes as a mentor, other times as someone she wants to take care of like family.

Their relationship, according to Rhian, is built on equality, respect, and deep trust. “He’s helped me grow into a better, more mature, more patient version of myself,” she said. “And yes, I can really see myself doing life with this person.”

Rhian and Sam went public with their romance at the 2022 GMA Gala and have since weathered public breakup rumors. In August 2024, they celebrated three years together, with Sam affirming their relationship: “We are in love.”

Outside of her personal life, Rhian is preparing for her role as June in the film Sinagtala, which hits cinemas on April 2. She’ll star alongside Glaiza De Castro, Rayver Cruz, Matt Lozano, and Arci Muñoz. Playing a drummer, Rhian says the role is a dream come true for her teenage self.
