Rico Blanco has been diligently working on a new music release for the past five months. On Instagram, the OPM icon shared a video of himself at his workstation, playing a short instrumental of Rivermaya’s classic hit “Kisapmata” on his laptop.
“POV: You’re finally ready for the world to hear the track you’ve been working on for the last 5 months,” Rico wrote in the video. The caption also included the date July 19, accompanied by sparkle and eye emojis, hinting at the release date.
This announcement came a day before Maris Racal confirmed their split.
Maris Racal and Rico Blanco Part Ways
Actress Maris Racal revealed that she and Rico Blanco had broken up a few weeks ago, describing the period as the “loneliest, emptiest weeks I’ve ever experienced in my life.” Maris reflected on their five-year relationship, noting that it was full of love, laughter, and music. She mentioned that they were always on the same page until she felt a shift in her perspective on life.
Despite the breakup, Maris characterized their separation as a “very polite” one. The couple had been dating for two years before publicly confirming their relationship in 2021. Shortly after their announcement, Maris shared a photo of a cake with the message “Age is just a number,” referencing their 25-year age difference. Rico is 51, while Maris is 26.
