MANILA, Philippines — Two of the country’s largest conglomerates are joining forces to build a massive, nationwide network of green vehicle infrastructure. Gokongwei-led Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) and Ayala-backed ACMobility have signed a strategic partnership to deploy 500 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across commercial properties in the Philippines.
The wide-reaching infrastructure initiative represents the largest single private sector commitments to green transport in the country, aimed at lowering consumer “range anxiety” and driving the mass adoption of electric vehicles.
The strategic rollout will integrate ACMobility’s fast-charging tech directly into RLC’s extensive real estate footprint, strategically placing high-yield chargers across the country over the next few years:
- Robinsons Malls Integration: The initial deployment phase focuses on installing charging points across the flagship Robinsons Malls network, giving EV owners accessible charging hubs while shopping, dining, or working.
- Mixed-Use and Suburban Footprint: Beyond retail malls, the grid will expand into RLC’s mixed-use developments, office complexes, and premium suburban transport hubs across Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and the Visayas.
- The Accessibility Blueprint: By embedding these chargers into highly frequented commercial hubs, the partnership aims to create an interconnected green corridor that makes long-distance regional EV travel practical.
The joint venture combines the unique market strengths of both conglomerates to build a seamless ecosystem for next-generation motorists:

ACMobility, which serves as the Ayala Group’s centralized end-to-end electric mobility platform, will manage the hardware procurement, installation logistics, and digital network app integration. RLC will provide prime real estate slots and grid access, aligning the deployment with its own corporate sustainability targets to reduce Scope 3 carbon emissions across its commercial assets.
The aggressive 500-station rollout directly supports the government’s regulatory push under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA). The law requires commercial buildings, malls, and public parking lots to allocate dedicated slots and operational charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
By front-loading this heavy capital expenditure, RLC and ACMobility are positioning their commercial spaces to capture the incoming wave of EV adoption, transforming local retail centers into critical nodes for the country’s clean energy transition.
