Senator Robin Padilla has offered a surprisingly supportive message to Aljur Abrenica after it was revealed that Aljur and AJ Raval are parents to three more children. Despite being Aljur’s former father-in-law through his daughter Kylie Padilla, Robin said he wasn’t shocked by the news and extended his well-wishes.
“I didn’t know about it before, but honestly, in today’s world, it’s not that surprising,” Robin admitted. He emphasized that their family appears to be stable: “Good luck to all of you. What’s good is they’re doing it peacefully — they act like a family.”
To Aljur, specifically, Robin said: “Good luck. Work even harder because you have a lot of kids now.”
As for his daughter Kylie, Robin expressed confidence in her strength and resilience. He called her independent, diligent, and caring, reassuring her that he trusts her to handle her personal life. “I love you so much. Work hard especially because life’s tough now,” he told her, adding a heartfelt note: “Take care of yourself — I worry when you get too thin.”
Robin also shared a personal detail: their homes are very close. “We’re just one house apart… sometimes when she opens her window, I can see her,” he said.
The senator’s comments came during a media interview following his return to showbiz with a new contract under Viva Films.
