QUEZON CITY — Businesswoman Rose Nono Lin has filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) to run for congresswoman in Quezon City’s fifth district in the upcoming 2025 elections. Lin, who filed her COC at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office for the National Capital Region, has been previously linked to Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation, a company involved in a high-profile COVID-19 supply corruption scandal.

In 2021, Lin was identified as a shareholder of Pharmally Biological Inc., alleged to be connected to Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation. Lin denied any involvement in the scandal, asserting that Pharmally Biological is not affiliated with Pharmally Pharmaceutical and that she has no government ties.

Additionally, Lin’s husband, Allan Lim, has been associated with illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO). As of now, Lin has not provided a statement regarding these allegations.

The filing of COCs for the 2025 elections began on October 1 and will conclude on October 8, with 18,280 elective positions available across the Philippines.
