Lead star Ruru Madrid became emotional as the GMA series “Black Rider” concluded its final episode.
During a watch party on Friday evening, Jon Lucas shared a video on Facebook showing Ruru in tears. Lucas humorously captioned the video, “Black Rider niyo umiiyak. Nakonsensya siguro sa pagbugbog niya sa akin,” adding, “PROUD OF YOU!!!! Nakakaiyak naman talaga! Kaya umalis ako kagabi kunwari wala signal lumabas ako.”
“Black Rider” premiered on November 6 last year and aired its heroic finale on Friday. The series has been notable for its impact and accolades, including a bronze medal from the New York Festivals TV & Film, marking it as the only entertainment program from GMA Network to be recognized at the event.
Ruru had previously expressed his gratitude for the role, fulfilling his dream of starring in an action series. He dedicated the award to unsung heroes, further cementing the show’s positive influence.
