Actress Sanya Lopez had a witty response after a fan noticed her absence in a reunion selfie with her fellow 2016 Encantadia Sang’gres—Gabbi Garcia, Glaiza de Castro, and Kylie Padilla.
When a netizen asked where she was, Sanya humorously replied on X (formerly Twitter), “Sapagkat panandalian siyang pinatawag sa mundo ng mga tao… upang mag Hot Maria Clara eme!”—a playful nod to her trending 2022 single, Hot Maria Clara.
Although she didn’t appear in the photo, Sanya remains a fan favorite for her role as Danaya in the hit fantasy series.
The new spin-off series Sang’gre premiered recently, featuring Faith Da Silva, Bianca Umali, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda as the new guardians of the elemental gems. A watch party was held to celebrate the pilot episode.
Sang’gre also introduces new characters, including Rhian as the villainous ice queen Mitena, the late Ricky Davao as Governor Emil, Ysabel Ortega as Armea, and Sienna Stevens as young Mitena.
