MANILA, Philippines — Amidst ongoing global oil price volatility, an industry-first digital fuel partnership has successfully generated ₱2.6 million in direct savings for local transport network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers and motorcycle taxi riders. The massive economic cushion is the result of a coordinated relief campaign orchestrated by fuel giant SEAOIL Philippines, ride-hailing leader Grab, and motorcycle taxi platform MOVE IT.
The direct fuel discount milestones were logged over a two-month operational window spanning March to April 2026, targeting the frontline logistics and transit workers hardest hit by fluctuating pump prices.
The core driver of the ₱2.6-million savings milestone is the integration of advanced digital tools. The partnership leverages SEAOIL’s specialized PriceLOCQ mobile app to give transport professionals precise control over their operational fuel expenses.
- Deep-Cut Discounts: Exclusive campaigns tailored specifically for Grab and MOVE IT partners yielded dramatic retail relief, with fuel discounts reaching as high as ₱8.73 per liter.
- The Top-Up Liter Balance: This feature enables drivers and riders to digitally buy fuel at current market prices and “lock them in,” protecting them from sudden price spikes when they refuel at a later date.
- LOCQPay Integration: A seamless, scan-to-pay feature at participating stations that automatically calculates and applies instant fuel discounts right at the pump.
The SEAOIL collaboration serves as a pillar for a much larger private-sector intervention. The initiative merges SEAOIL’s “Kabalikat Mo sa Hanapbuhay” campaign directly into the broader Grab and MOVE IT Bayanihan Fuel Crisis Support Program.
To ensure comprehensive protection for its network, Grab disclosed that it mobilized an astounding ₱350 million for the Bayanihan program between March and April alone. These multi-layered company funds were deployed through real-time per-trip cashback, commission rebates, targeted spot bonuses, and direct fuel allowance top-ups for highly active partners.
“We are fully committed to this partnership because we understand that it is the transport and delivery professionals who are keeping our commuters and goods moving every single day. By giving them the tools to lock in fuel prices and access significant discounts, we are saving them money at the pump and helping them secure their livelihood.” — Mark Yu, SEAOIL CFO and President for Retail Business
“Every peso saved on fuel is a peso that goes straight back to a driver’s family. By reaching this milestone, we’ve proven that when institutions in our sector and beyond come together, we can provide a real, tangible safety net for our transport professionals.” — Gines Barot, GrabCar Philippines General Manager
Acknowledging the high adoption rate and success of these digital fuel pathways among drivers, the executive teams of SEAOIL, Grab, and MOVE IT have committed to expanding the program in the coming quarters. Plans are already underway to introduce exclusive digital “Super Sale” events, aiming to roll out even deeper discounts to sustain the livelihood of thousands of delivery riders and drivers across the country.
