Senators Imee Marcos and Bong Go recently visited Cebu, bringing some good news. 

Among other activities, Marcos led the launching of the Nutribun program for daycare pupils in Lapu-Lapu City. 

The presidential sister also graced the National Transport Cooperatives Day attended by over 700 cooperatives at Waterfront Hotel and Casino as she also guested the Openline News Forum. 

In that forum, the lady senator is optimistic that the Libreng Sakay program of the previous administration will continue as this greatly benefitted the commuting public. 

She hopes that the budget for this program will be included in the 2023 national budget.  

Senator Go, on the other hand, gave smiles to over a thousand flood victims Mandaue City. 

Through his initiatives, the Department of Social Welfare and Development gave P3,000 each, another P3,000  each from the Office of Mandaue City Lone District Representative Emmarie Ouano-Dizon and another P3,000 each from the Mandaue City government. 

From his personal funds, Go also gave grocery packs, volleyballs, basketballs, shoes, bicycles, and watches, among others.

Go also announced that Cebu will soon have nine Super Health Centers out of the 305 that will be constructed nationwide. 

Go said that nine super health centers will be erected in the towns of San Francisco in Camotes Island, Borbon, Cordova, Samboan, and Moalboal.


The cities of Lapu-Lapu, Bogo, Danao, and  Mandaue will also have their own super health centers.
