MANILA, Philippines — OPM breakout star Dionela and his long-time partner Meizy Mendoza have officially tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The wedding comes just four months after a viral onstage engagement that captured the hearts of fans during his “The Grace” concert.

Dionela shared a glimpse of the special day with his followers on Facebook, posting a photo of Meizy walking down the aisle in an elegant off-shoulder white gown. “Wait lang sa new music mga idol, ikakasal lang kami saglit brb (Hold on with the new music, guys. I’m just getting married for a bit, be right back),” the singer playfully captioned his post.

The ceremony was attended by family and close friends, with glimpses of the event shared on social media by guests including director Paolo Valenciano and songwriter-producer Niko Bacani. In a moment true to his artist roots, Dionela reportedly sang his wedding vows to Meizy, moving many in attendance.

Meizy has famously served as Dionela’s primary muse throughout his rising career. Many of his hit tracks, including “Marilag,” “Sining,” and “Oksihina,” were written about their relationship.

Their engagement in November 2025 was a highlight of his first solo concert at the New Frontier Theater. During the proposal, Dionela tearfully recalled their early struggles, saying, “I remember you were with me when I sold my guitar and wanted to quit… You’ve been with me from the beginning until now. I hope you stay with me for the rest of my life.”

As news of the wedding spread, fellow OPM artists and fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages. The wedding marks a personal milestone for Dionela amidst a busy year of performances and chart-topping releases.

While the singer-songwriter has promised to return to music soon, fans are celebrating this “new chapter” for the couple, whose real-life romance continues to inspire some of the country’s most popular love songs.
